I have always been fascinated with people who get out, regardless of the weather, and run. There stamina is impressive. They can run for several miles. It's like they get into a groove and it fits them like a glove and they don't seem to be tired even after a couple of miles.
In Isaiah 40:31 it says, "...they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint." When I think about these words, I realize that when we wait on God, he renews our strength so we can run and not be weary the race that is set before us. We will be able to walk great distances and not faint.
The race of course is our journey that we are on in life. With God beside us, renewing our strength, we can get to our destination. Even when we get tired, it's He who is standing beside us, holding our hand, leading us forward.
So though I am not an actual runner in man-made races, I am a runner on the journey and I know I will win this race.
How about you? Are you a runner? When you get tired do you feel His strength pouring into you?
