How Good Comes Back To You!

  The word peace is used so much, perhaps we have forgotten the meaning. It means quiet and tranquility. The word acquaint and means to cause to know personally, to become familiar, to cause to know firsthand––all of which implies there must be a degree of intimacy. God is telling us that if we come to know him in this way, we will be in peace. Seeking God is not hard to do; it does, however, require the desire to get to know Him personally. To know Him in this way, we must get our Bibles out and start reading His word. This will tell us everything about Him, how much He loves us, and all the ways He will bless us. In Colossians 1:20, you find out He gave His only son to die on a cross, and through His blood reconciled all of us to Him. It tells you how you can have peace, His peace, regardless of what is going on around you. With everything that is going on in the world today, the only way we can have peace is through Him. We can come to know Him in a way that forever changes our live

Pray For the Times We are In

  Let us remember these are difficult times and we need the protection of our Lord. I hope this prayer will give you comfort. Psalm 91 was the 'Soldier's Prayer' in World War I. Blessings!

Are You Willing To Be Humble?

But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” James 4:6 If you take this scripture you can make it a prayer. "Thank you Father, for generously supplying me with your grace which is unending. Help me Lord to be humble and to come before you with thanksgiving and praise. For with your grace I can meet the new day in your strength not mine. In Jesus name I pray. Amen Just imagine Columbus confessing to the Lord he was a sinner and asking God for His grace and mercy. I can picture him on the ship as he is sailing across the ocean to find a new world, facing the storms that occur during the crossings. Praying and asking God for that mercy and grace. And for being grateful that God was with Him. Blessings!

Hope For Our World

"But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”" James 4:6 Like Billy Graham, I have hope because I have experienced God's mercy and His grace in my life, many times. Not because I earned it or deserved it, but because He loved me. May God pour out His mercy and grace on you today and everyday. For our hope is in Him always. Blessings!

Grace May Require Silence!

    “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29 Most people are not comfortable with silence. I understand that. Sometimes I am not comfortable with it. I find my mind likes to run into all areas of thinking about the day ahead or taking care of unfinished chores. So to quiet my mind is important. I like to have the early morning, when the house is quiet. I can focus on God, begin my day saying the Lord's prayer, brings Him into my quiet time. Now being quiet is beginning to feel different. I am trying to wait on Him But I have come to realize sometimes, He too likes to just be quiet. So we both enjoy that quiet time together. I feel that His is grace. He is allowing me to spend that quiet time with Him. We are together. Hope you will try it. We don't have to talk unless we are led. God Bless!

God's Garden of Grace

In 2 Corinthians 12:9: Jesus says to Paul, "But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”" I think He is saying to us that His grace is sufficient enough for us...His power is enough. He is saying He can, and He will overcome our weaknesses. He knows us. He created us. He knows we are all weak. But He chooses us anyway. I think that is what leads Paul to say, "My strength is made perfect in weakness." We must remember, God is strong. Many of us may forget what God's grace is. Just to remind us it is His undeservved and free gift.  We can't earn it. Maybe this is one of the reasons we don't truly understand it. You see God's grace doesn't cost us anything. That's right, does not cost us anything. But let me remind us, it cost Jesus everything! While we were sinners, not living a life surrendered to Him, God showed all mankind His love for us all. Who is Controlling Your Attitude?

  Brian Tracy said, " You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you. " Philippians 4:8 says,  "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." Did you know that we have control over our attitude? It is one of the things we have control over. It is important for us to assess our attitudes. What do we need to change about our attitude? Our attitude projects to others everything about us. Our attitudes can restrict or empower us. It can give off the scent we are victims, or we are victorious. It can say we are strong, or we are weak.  Yes, things do happen in life, but our attitude about what happens we control. This is what makes the difference in our lives. Tha

  The Words of the Lord bring forth life. The wrong words can bring forth death. How do I know? The first way is that God's word says so in Proverbs 18:21. The second way I know is twenty-four years ago, I was visiting a family member of my husbands. We were there to attend the funeral of her thirty-nine year old son. I will never forget standing in her kitchen and the words she spoke. She said, "He's told me for years, he would never live to see forty. I used to ask him why?" He said, "I just know I won't, that's all." "I finally just quit asking him. However, I did of course ask him if he had seen a doctor, and he hadn't."
