A'apocalyptic' Scenes in Mariupol. Under Siege

Mariupol, a Ukrainian port city that was home to more than 400,000 people just two weeks ago, has been almost completely shut off from the outside world by advancing Russian forces.

How can a grown man be fearful of a baby? Putin has ordered the slaughter of babies, old people, and civilians. Is this because of his greed, and thirst for power. Is he trying to put back together the USSR?

We saw it in King Herod. He ruled Judea from 37 BC. The Bible says he initiated a murder of all the infants in Bethlehem in an attempt to get rid of the baby Jesus.

Then there was Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, who was scared that one day there would be too many Israelites and that they would take over Egypt, so he made the Israelites his slaves. Pharaoh then commanded that all the newborn Israelite baby boys should be killed.

Looking For Solutions To Help Our Families and Communities

Smith Wigglesworth was a preacher and teacher. I read an interesting fact on him. He did not learn to read until after he married his wife Polly. She taught him to read the Bible. He often stated, “It was the only book he ever read”. He did not permit newspapers in his home, preferring the Bible to be their only reading material.      I dare say that is a rarity today. When I read this, I wondered how many homes today have Bibles. If they have one, how many families read the book collectively as a family and as an individual? Obviously, I don’t have the statistics on that.      However, that got me to thinking, what if! What if families began reading the bible together? What changes would come about in their homes, their lives, and their work? Of course, the changes would spill over in how we see and interact with our neighbors and treat people in our communities. Looking around at the things happening in all our communities such as ––the violence, hatred, rage, anger––

Were You In The Locked Room?

Jesus said, "Peace be unto you." Imagine you were with the disciples in the Upper Room; the doors are locked. Everyone is afraid of the Jewish leaders coming after them. Not only were they fearful, for their lives, but they lost their rock, Jesus. The man they leaned on, and depended on. He was with them for over 3 years, teaching them. Their friend. They could always count on Him. They ate with Him, played, slept, and prayed with Him. Now He was gone. Their whole world had been turned upside down. They didn't know what to do. They were in the upper room, the last place they had been with Jesus. What is it like for you sitting there with the disciples? Then suddenly, a man appeared in the room. They aren't sure who He is and they are wondering how he got in the locked room. The man says, "Peace be unto you." When he said this, he held out His hands and shewed them His side. It was Jesus. Can you imagine how thrilled the disciples were to see Him. Their jo

Your Strength Comes From Him

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2Corinthians 12:9 There are times we feel overwhelmed in our day to day lives. We notice our strength is low both physically, mentally, and spiritually. During these times, we have two choices. We can sit down and feel sorry for ourselves or we can grab our Bibles and start reading God's words. Psalm 73:26 says, "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Nehemiah 8:10 says, "Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." You can find numerous scriptures on God giving us strength in our lives. By reading His word and reminding ourselves that we can do all things through Him that strengthens us, it will build us up and we won't continue feeling bad because His strength is sufficient. Ble
